Training for Inline Marathon Race!

To further awareness I would like to participate in at least one of the following skating races in the fall of 2012!!

The first one is the largest inline skating event in the United States called the Northshore Inline Marathon.  This 26.2 mile marathon is held in Duluth, Minnesota September 15th and has up to 3,000 participants.  Every major inline skating company will have an exhibit at this event and it will attract several spectators, sponsors, and media broadcasters.   Going there as a racer would allow me to meet world class skaters, spread awareness for human trafficking and network with potential sponsors for our 2013 events.

The second race is held here in Georgia and is called the Athens to Atlanta (A2A).  This race is the World’s longest running point to point race.  The 31st annual A2A will take place on October 7th.  This race is more of an endurance race that takes place on open country,  mountain, and city roads.  There are 3 separate races to test endurance.  The full Athens to Atlanta is 87 miles and has hills that skaters can reach speeds of 45 mph.  The other options are 52 miles from Dacula to Atlanta or 38 miles from Athens to Dacula.  If I competed in this race I would choose the 38 mile option.  Even though the A2A is a smaller race with less than 200 hundred participants it would provide opportunities to spread awareness for human trafficking and meet with potential local sponsors for 2013.

If you would like to Sponsor me for one of these events please email me at

The mission of 72 Miles for Freedom is to bring awareness and funding to ministries that support the restoration and freedom of people.  We will use the event as a platform for others to become involved in a tangible and sacrificial way.  Our pain in sport and giving will be for a purpose.  To see broken walls rebuilt.

They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations. Isaiah 61:4
